Improving Schools This Summer

The school gates may have been closed for summer, but behind the scenes, the TJM Projects team was getting to work.

The summer holidays provide a valuable window for completing essential improvements across education settings, allowing projects to progress safely and efficiently while disruption is kept to a minimum.

This year, our education programme takes us across Greater Manchester, delivering everything from reception and social space refurbishments to upgraded play areas, science facilities, windows, fencing and fire safety systems.

We’ve captured work in progress, before bringing everything together in our full summer education round-up.

Gorton Educational Village

First on the timetable is Gorton Educational Village, where we’re refurbishing the reception area. As the first space seen by pupils, staff and visitors, the improved reception will create a more welcoming and functional entrance to the school.

Stanley Grove

At Stanley Grove, our attention turns outdoors with improvement works to the school’s play area. The project will help create a safer, more enjoyable space where pupils can play, explore and make the most of their time outside the classroom.

Altrincham Grammar School for Girls

A varied programme of improvements is underway at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls. Works include window replacements, a new fire alarm system, the refurbishment of science laboratories and improvements to social spaces, enhancing safety, comfort and the day-to-day school experience.

The Orchards

The TJM team will be delivering several external improvements at The Orchards, including new fencing, play area works and upgrades to site drainage. Together, these works will help provide safer, more practical and better-performing outdoor spaces throughout the year.

Elmridge

At Elmridge, works include the construction of a new extension and canopy, together with replacement fencing and associated finishes to the surrounding approach areas. The project will provide improved facilities and a safer, more welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Ready for the new term

From the front entrance to the playground, and plenty in between, each project is focused on creating safer, smarter and more welcoming places for pupils and staff.
