Cumberland School – Classroom Alterations

TJM Projects were appointed under a JCT Minor Works Contract to deliver a series of classroom alterations at Cumberland School, Rivington Lane.

The £410,000 scheme, completed over a 10-week period, involved the refurbishment and reconfiguration of existing teaching spaces and the creation of a new training kitchen.

Working within a live school environment, careful planning and coordination were essential to maintain safety and minimise disruption to staff and students. The works were phased to align with the school’s operational needs, ensuring clear segregation between construction and teaching areas.

Collaboration with the client, school representatives, and design team was key to delivering a high-quality finish, on time and within budget.
